China’s foreign minister issued a stark warning to America about their support for Taiwan. He said that the US could pay an “unbearable cost.”
In a recent interview, Wang Yi, a Chinese minister, accused the US of “encouraging Taiwan independence.”
Wang stated that encouraging Taiwan’s independence forces is a dangerous move by the United States. It also puts Taiwan in a very dangerous position and exposes them to an unimaginable cost.
Another Chinese minister threatened a similar threat, threatening “drastic actions” if Taiwan moves towards formal independence.
The Chinese minister didn’t say what these “drastic steps” would be.
