Mark Morgan, the former Commissioner of Customs and Border Patrol, had harsh words for the Biden Administration and the border’s absolute anarchy.
From the standpoint of illegal immigration, the American-Mexican border is substantially worse than it has been in a long time, perhaps ever.
That’s because, under Biden’s watch, an estimated two million illegal immigrants have entered the country, with some areas of Texas seeing a recent surge of more than 215 percent. That’s a significant issue, and it doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon, since Biden would rather focus on the Russian-Ukrainian border than the one between the US and Mexico, which he’s meant to protect.
With that in mind, Mark Morgan went on an anti-Biden blitz while speaking with John Solomon and Amanda Head on Just the News.
When they were discussing how Biden is ignoring the border crisis, Morgan slammed him for his complete lack of concern for the situation, as well as the effect of the Feds ignoring the border, Morgan remarked, “They’re pretending it doesn’t exist.” But, according to polls, the American people aren’t buying it.
He then mentioned President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, which kept illegals crossing the border into Mexico until their asylum hearings, a program that has shown to be quite effective in preventing border crossers from reaching the United States.
But, according to Morgan, despite a Supreme Court injunction, Biden has fully abandoned the strategy.
During the month of December, the Biden administration recruited about 260 migrants in the Remain in Mexico program, despite the fact that 178,000 illegal aliens entered our country in one month, in just 30 days.
It’s having no effect, and they aren’t paying attention. And keep in mind that the [Homeland Security] secretary [Alejandro Mayorkas] has been very explicit that he is actively seeking to end the program while on his just-shut-up-and-take-it tour to the agents out there.
This administration has purposefully and knowingly handed over our southern border to the cartels. And they’ve stripped them of every tool and authority they had under President Trump to do their job, to secure a border and protect the country.
Biden has wreaked havoc on the border. It’s past time for him to be held accountable for that, as well as all of the pain his actions caused ordinary Americans.
