Michael Hayden, the former head of the CIA from 2006 to 2009, has come under fire for suggesting that he thinks Republicans are worse than the most extreme and deadly extremist groups in the world. On Twitter, his comment garnered 102,000 likes and more than 25,000 retweets.

Strong response and outrage are being received over the comment. Furthermore, it raises new concerns regarding the CIA’s operations against American citizens and its future plans. After all, the CIA use drones to hunt down, kill, and capture terrorists.

“I’ve begun the day still in a state of stunned disbelief that a former CIA director said half of America is worse than the terrorist network that killed Americans. If they’re willing to say that out loud, what are they saying and doing in private?,” one user said.

Another Twitter user commented, “Sure is a bummer how Republicans think the entire apparatus of the state hates them and sees them as a hostile entity! Very unfortunate how they arrived at that notion completely out of their own conspiratorial heads.”

Just last week, Hayden implied that President Trump should be executed after the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago home. Recall that Hayden was one of the 51 intelligence officials who falsely claimed to the American people during the 2020 presidential election that the Hunter Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation.”

One of three former CIA directors who signed the disgraceful letter from 51 former intelligence officers falsely claiming that Hunter Biden’s laptop contained Russian disinformation in October of 20 was Michael Hayden.
