Popov argued that despite having a university education, he is not equipped to serve as the US press secretary.
And when he targeted Jean-Pierre, journalist Andrei Sidorchik yelled racist obscenities.
On May 13, Jean-Pierre formally succeeded Jen Psaki, who served as Kamala Harris’ chief of staff throughout her 2020 presidential campaign.

On May 5, the White House announced that Jean-Pierre will succeed Psaki.
