Joe Biden’s address in prime time was criticized by former President Donald Trump, who called it uncomfortable and aggressive. He also claimed that the president must be mad or have advanced dementia.
Trump responded to Biden’s address on Thursday night by posting statements on his Truth Social platform.
“Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!”
He also wrote: “If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force. He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!”
In another post, Trump juxtaposed images of himself kissing the American flag and Biden giving a speech in prime time while raising both arms.
In his address, Biden asserted that “MAGA forces” were prepared to thwart democratic elections and were committed to moving the nation backward.
Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Biden stated.
Kevin McCarthy, the head of the House Republicans and a Californian, charged Biden with disregarding crime and inflation while criticizing fellow citizens.
